GizmoMaker opens manufacturing base in Vietnam to diversify global production
The new facility complements the company's Shenzhen operations and adds regional capacity for its portfolio of hardware ventures.
HO CHI MINH CITY — GizmoMaker, the global hardware innovation company that develops and mass-produces consumer and industrial hardware end-to-end, today announced the opening of a manufacturing base in Vietnam. The site expands the company's production footprint beyond its wholly owned factory in Shenzhen, China, and is designed to support assembly, testing and packaging across multiple product lines.
The facility becomes operational in phases through 2024, with initial lines dedicated to the company's power-tool and lifting-equipment ventures. GizmoMaker said the investment reflects a broader strategy to build resilient, regionally distributed supply chains for its portfolio of spun-out product companies, including GRABO and Nemo Power Tools.
Production in Vietnam will be carried out in close coordination with the company's existing engineering and quality-assurance teams. GizmoMaker will retain integrated control of the process from design through mass production, a model the company has applied since its founding in Tel Aviv in 2009.
The company said it expects the Vietnam base to shorten lead times for customers in Asia-Pacific and North America and to create several hundred manufacturing and engineering roles over the coming years. Further capacity additions will be evaluated as demand across the portfolio grows.
